The delegates visited HAPPRC, Baniyakund situated at an altitude of 2460 metre above the sea level at a distance of approximately 31 km from Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath Uttarakhand. The prime objective of making the delegates visit HAPPRC of HNB Garhwal University was to highlight the Prodyogik (Technology) and Pragati (Development) of Uttarakhand as the research unit holds its singularity by serving as Germplasm conservation centre in 1.00 hectare of land. The staff of the department very well coordinated the visit and illustrated immense knowledge to the delegates on the research aspects being carried out at the centre. The delegates also gained information on the medicinal plants, that are being curated and nurtured at the centre. It was a completely new experience for the majority of delegates from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Apart from the knowledge aspect, the delegates enjoyed and captured the snowy mountain views from the HAPPRC, Baniyakund.
